Bryggen's main frontage and much of the harbor are accessible, but historic passages have uneven surfaces, thresholds, and tight interiors. Fløibanen offers accessible travel, subject to current operating conditions, and Mount Fløyen has family-friendly paths near the top. Ask the cruise line whether a Jekteviken shuttle can carry your wheelchair or scooter.

Families can combine the funicular, playground and forest paths on Fløyen, Bryggen, and a short museum. Avoid committing young children to a long panoramic coach day when the city itself offers variety. Bring warm layers even in summer.

A cruise arriving from the United Kingdom or another non-Schengen country may involve different clearance from a sailing moving between Schengen ports.
